There are a many of web-based applications that are available that can expand and enhance the functionality and performance of your website. These include blogs, photo galleries, virtual tours, slideshows, live chat, search boxes, website traffic tracking, and many, many more. If you want to add eCommerce or a Shopping Cart to your website, please visit my eCommerce page.
Each of the following links will take you to a different category of web applications that I've installed on my own website or have installed on those of my website clients. Think of it as a playground where you can actually experience each of these web applications before you decide to add them to your website. Enjoy!

Blogs give people an online place to share their thoughts and experiences with the world. Blogs are managed by clients who use the blog application to create new entries. No programming knowledge is required to manage a blog.

Probably the web-based application I recommend most is a website traffic tracking system that collects and reports visitor behavior. Understanding your website visitor behavior is crucial, especially if you count on search engines or pay-per-click advertising for your business.
Share a series of images with your website visitors to help get your message across visually. A picture is really worth a thousand words! Different types of photo galleries or slide show applications are available, depending on what your website needs.

Forums create an online space for visitors to interact with you and with other visitors. Simple Machines Forum is a free, open source forum application that can be installed on your website. Great for small businesses who want to let their clients connect, post questions and get answers. To see an example of a live Simple Machines Forum (SMF) forum, go to the Ahimsa Dog Training Forum.
I can install a live chat application that allows you to chat online with potential clients who are visiting your website. It's a great way to make your website truly interactive. Clients who offer training or coaching services may use this to increase their revenue.
Adding audio or video to your website is easy and can add that interactive feel to your website. I can work with Flash, Quicktime or Windows Media files and perform minor editing for you.
If your website has many pages and a substantial amount of content, adding a search box can help visitors find what they're looking for quickly.
Since I like working with open source applications, I typically recommend my clients get Linux/Unix based hosting (versus Windows based hosting) and all of the applications on my website are based on PHP. If you already have a hosting company, ask them if they support PHP, and if they do, I can install and customize any of the web-based applications you see here and many, many others.
