Is Your Website Contact Form Working?

November 12th, 2012

What’s the most important mission of your small business website? To direct people to your contact page, fill out your contact form, hit submit. But how do you know your contact form is actually functioning properly?

There are several solutions to this. Some entail making a script that write to a text file that you’d have to remember to check on a regular basis. But a really nice solution that is now available is to use Web-Stat, a traffic tracking tool, to email you when a targeted page is landed upon.

Web-Stat hit counters

Web-Stat is a traffic tracking tool that costs under $10 a month and is easily added to any website. It has wonderful tracking statistics, that are much much much easier to decipher than Google Analytics, which give me and my clients a headache. I’ve been using Web-Stat for many years to track my traffic and to email me when my website is down.

But now, Web-Stat has a new feature. It can email you when a targeted page is landed upon, in this case, you can set it up to email you when your contact form is submitted. It’s an excellent addition to the already very neat set of things Web-Stat can offer.

Whether your website was designed by Aldebaran Web Design or someone else, I’d be happy to help you add Web-Stat to your website and show you how to use it. I look at my website traffic every single day – do you know who’s visiting your website? Is your website down? Is your contact form working? Web-Stat can help.
