Aldebaran is the brightest star in the constellation of Taurus and the 14th brightest star in the heavens. Some see it as the bull's nose like this image on the right, while others position it on the bull's right eye.
Aldebaran is a giant orange-red star 38 times the size of our own sun and is 65 light years away. The spacecraft Pioneer 10 is heading there right now, and is expected to reach Aldebaran in about 2 million years.
The word "aldebaran" is derived from an Arabic word that means "follower", so named because the constellation seems to follow the Pleiades Cluster across the night sky.
The reason I chose Aldebaran to be the name of my company is because I've always had a fondness for astronomy and happen to be a Taurus. In my former corporate life, my staff put a cartoon of a bulldog next to the name tag on my office door. Suffice it to say I had a reputation for being persistent in the face of obstacles. I also like the concept of client-centered consulting, meeting customers where ever they are and partnering with them in pursuit of a solution. To do this successfully you must enter the client's world, and follow them (much like Aldebaran follows the Pleiades) in their journey.
You define your path, and I will help remove the stones that are in your way.
