Well, I also received that spam. Buy the way, the real Dr Marc Shneider is indeed a dentist in NY.
My site is currently googled in the top-ten on 90% of my primary keywords. My company does not sell anything to people who do not read internationalish (En-US). I am not a racist, but, sorry, the Latin America is not the most important marketplace for rare biochemicals. However, that SEO advices me that my site is not optimized for spanish, or invisible in Kirgizyan search engines? let it be.
Just a curious fact: my website is much better ranked on MSN and Yahoo than it is on Google, (currently I only have 5 gold google medals), NEVERTHELESS I get 55% of the traffic from Google, 40% from en.Wikipedia, and only 5% from all the others, MSN and Yahoo included...

Well, it all has to match. Your redirect target (sounds like it's without the www) needs to be identical to the link building targets (which unfortunately are with the www). So you'll either have to change the WordPress redirect, or go back and change the links if you can. Theoretically, the redirect will help the "link juice" be passed to the right domain, but it's best if the links go there directly. And yes, the Webmaster account also needs to match. Everything has to match, this is why URL Canonicalization is an important SEO practice to follow. Please note the redirect needs to be permanent, not temporary, a 301 redirect. Also note that you can see what's in the Google Index by Googling both site:www.yourdomain.com versus site:yourdomain.com to see which it has used.

Hi Kyle,
No, you should not create two sitemaps, you only have one site. What you need to do, is to pick either the "www" or the non-www version of your website to be the official one, and then via your hosting company, redirect the one you don't want to the one you do want. So in other words, let's say you pick the "www.mysite.com", and therefore, you need to create a permanent (301) redirect from "mysite.com" to "www.mysite.com". I'd check with your hosting company on exactly how to accomplish this, they're all different. Some have control panels you can do this from, others will require you to create a helper file (.htaccess) and put code in there. But you definitely only have ONE set of website files, so you want ONE sitemap.

I'm surprised that this guy has been around for so long, that he hasn't been shut down through lawsuits based on anti-spam regulations. Notice there's no unsubscribe link in his emails, a common requirement of such regs.

Some blogger in the DC area should show up at his office doorstep on Connecticut Ave, and offer to interview him... if he's an actual person. Wouldn't that be revealing.

In the meantime, I'll simply continue to plant his email address in various sites selling acai, knock-off designer watches, and porn. I'd sign him up for a fake college degree, but I'm pretty sure he already has one of those.

I got the same email...

rather than complaining about it being spam and whatnot, i just went to google and did a search for 'multilingual search engine optimization' (text verbatim at the top of m p l w dot c o m).

it's comical that (after clicking through about 6 result pages), their site is nowhere.

kthx.
